Now in their 48th year, the Hinchinbrook Art Awards celebrate the creativity and talent of artists from our region and beyond. With a range of categories, generous prizes, and the chance to have your work showcased in a professional gallery setting, the Awards offer artists of all levels a platform to shine. Whether you’re an emerging artist or an established creator, this is your invitation to share your vision, connect with a wider audience, and be part of one of North Queensland’s most cherished art traditions.

Ready to share your creativity with the world? To enter, simply download and read the Conditions of Entry, then complete the Entry Form.
When delivering your artwork to the Gallery, please make sure each piece has an artwork label and is fitted with secure hanging hardware (such as D-rings) so it can be displayed at its best.
All the resources you’ll need are available for download below — and we can’t wait to see your work light up the Awards.

Opening Night: 6.00pm Friday 13 November 2026
Exhibition on General Display: Saturday 14 November to Wednesday 16 December 2026, 10.00am – 4.00pm daily
Artwork Collection: Thursday 17 December to Tuesday 22 December 2026, 10.00am – 4.00pm daily
